About
Dr. Anuj Bisht did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Calicut, India and his Master degree in Nanotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. He did his PhD from Indian Institute of Science, India in 2018. Dr. Bisht was a postdoctoral researcher in School of Mechanical Engineering in Loughborough University and Department of Material Science and Engineering in Technion Israel Institute of Technology, before joining as Assistant research professor in Penn state in 2023.
During his career, he has worked on a varied field of research including material response to shock exposure, thermo-mechanical processing of metals and alloys, mechanical behavior of equilibrium shaped nanoparticles, solid-state dewetting and thermal actuation of bimetallic nanowhiskers. He is an expert in material characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, EBSD, and Ultra-high Resolution aberration-corrected transmission electron microscopy. His research at Penn State will involve advanced S/TEM imaging and EELS spectroscopy of nano and 2D materials for energy, electronic and optoelectronics applications.
